Floyd Friends of Asylum Seekers is a community of compassionate volunteers working to support asylum seekers who have made their homes in Floyd and the New River Valley.
Through donations and volunteer support, the organization helps meet the very real needs of local asylum-seeking families and individuals. That includes assistance with medical and dental care, legal expenses, rent, transportation, interpretation, trauma healing programs, food, clothing, and other essential needs.
These aren’t abstract issues—they’re our neighbors, families, and members of our community who are building new lives after seeking safety from violence and persecution.
